About me

with 2 comments

I became a journalist because of people.

I travelled to Pakistan in the summer of 2006 with many of the preconceptions that Westerners have about the Muslim world. I left having been deeply touched by the generosity of the people I met. And a strong desire to be a journalist.

People make the world go round. But so often the human dimension of a story is lost within the noise of the exploding bomb and bickering of politicians.

Through my journalism, and what I write on this blog, I want to remember what we all are: people.

  1. Hi Annabel, I just spent a semester at City, but we didn’t get to meet. Are you in the Mundus programme?
I like your blog and intend to link from it. I’ve been writing some stuff on Muntadher myself and Gaza.
    cheers
